BANGIN’ BRUSSELS

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups brussels sprouts

  • 1tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • garlic powder (to taste)

  • onion powder (to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425°.

  2. Lightly spray a foil-lined baking sheet with cooking spray.

  3. Trim ends of brussels sprouts and remove yellow leaves.

  4. Then, slice all brussels sprouts in half.

  5. In a medium bowl, combine halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, balsamic and maple syrup; toss to combine.

  6. Place onto the baking sheet, and roast in the oven at for about 30 to 35 minutes. During the last 5-10 minutes of roasting, turn them over for even browning (the cut sides should be nicely and partially charred but not blackened).

  7. Drizzle with hot honey for a little sweet/spicy kick (optional).
