Guilt-free Mac-n-Cheese

Banana Bites

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup (or more) unsweetened almond milk

  • dash of sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (GMO Free)

  • Sprinkle of nacho cheddar Kernel’s popcorn seasoning

  • 2 oz. cooked whole grain macaroni

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat almond milk, salt, and garlic to a boil in a large sauce pan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer.

  2. While the mixture is cooking, combine the shredded cheese, corn starch, and nacho seasoning in a medium bowl; mix well.

  3. Gradually whisk cheese mixture in to simmering milk mixture until fully incorporated. Remove from heat.

  4. Add cooked macaroni and mix well.

  5. Add more milk or nacho seasoning according to preferred taste.
