Instapot Applesauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup egg whites

  • 3 lbs apples (5-6 large)

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/3 cup monkfruit sweetener (or honey)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

        1.      Peel apples (or not—depending on what you like). I’ve done it both ways.
        2.      Slice apples and throw in the InstaPot, with the rest of the ingredients minus the lemon juice.
        3.      Cover and set on high for 7 minutes
        4.      Quickly release as soon as the timer goes off.
        5.      Mash, applesauce or use immersion blender until consistency is reached. Mix in lemon juice and serve.
*Add to glass mason jar & refrigerate 7 to 14 days.

*Way better than store bought & your house will smell like fall 🍁!!
